How does scheduling work?
If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.
We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Due to the fact Dr Tracy provides many types of dental services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us as we provide you quality care.

Where can I register as a Patient?
Will the surgery be painful?
You should begin taking pain medication prior to feeling the local anesthetic wearing off. Most patients will receive percocet or vicodin for severe pain control, as well as ibuprofen to keep inflammation down. We recommend that when you get home, get a little food in your stomach and take one tablet of the narcotic medicine. Three hours later you may take the ibuprofen. Three hours after that you may take another narcotic tablet. Alternating like this throughout the first day after surgery every three hours will provided the most optimal pain control and keep you comfortable. Do not take any of the above medication if you are allergic to them, or have been instructed by your doctor not to take it. Do not drive an automobile or work around machinery. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Pain or discomfort following surgery should subside more and more every day. If pain persists, it may require attention and you should call the office.
What will a first visit be like?
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation if required. However, our standard is to review your medical history and perform an examination which will allow us to provide you with an optimized treatment plan. A second appointment will then be given to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your surgical referral slip and any x-rays if applicable.
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms.
- This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
Can I View The Privacy Practice Form?
Can I be physically active after surgery?
Keep physical activities to a minimum immediately following surgery. If you exercise, throbbing or bleeding may occur due to increased heart rate. If this occurs, you should discontinue exercising. Keep in mind that you are probably not taking in normal nourishment. This may weaken you and further limit your ability to exercise.
